Welcome back to the new school year! Over the next few months I am hoping to get to know our school community, it’s strengths and challenges and setting goals around those needs. There is a lot to consider on this; school academic successes, district goals - creativity and imagination, resiliency, and citizenship, and building a positive community of learning. I will also supporting the continued successes at Adam Robertson that continue to grow this learning community.
I will seek out ideas and considerations for improvement in an effort to make decisions based on what is best for all. I welcome conversations with all of you. Darryl Adams, Vice Principal, and myself, will make time to hear from you, contact you as needed with respect to your child’s needs or progress and encourage you to seek out conversation with us when you need further clarification, or need to inform us of things that we may not know about. We (parents and school) are your child’s team of support. I hope that each of us seek to understand the picture of success and make that our goal. Please contact me at the school or by email.
As the year begins, look for information on our school and district website, and on your active email address for newsletters and class information. I encourage everyone to upload the annual district calendar to your personal calendars and note Pro-D days, early dismissal days, holidays and other dates that affect after school care. Find that on the district web page www.sd8.bc.ca
I am looking forward to a great year at Adam Robertson Elementary School.
